About the National Talky League

The National Talky League: How did this happen?

Roger and Dave got to know each other as improvisers at the Loose Moose Theatre Company where they both honed skills that would eventually help them in the professional careers and, ultimately, in putting this podcast together each week.

Roger Kingkade

Roger Kingkade spent 18 years on the air in Vancouver and Calgary, mostly hosting rock radio morning shows. He was the first voice of 104.9 Xfm in Vancouver and, most notably, host of the inaugural morning show on X92.9 in Calgary where he had a daily commentary called "The Thing."

He loves talking about politics, economics, travel, and the 'Three B's; Baseball, BBQ, and Bourbon.

Roger is an avid golfer, makes a fine plate of pasta, and loves dogs. Given the choice,  there's nothing he'd rather do than roam the world with his wife.

Fun Fact:

Roger was once sanctioned by the CBSC for using the word 'bitchslap' during a sportscast in Vancouver.

Dave Ware

Dave Ware is a particularly interesting man. He's a long-time improviser on the Calgary scene and is famous in Lego circles for his large mosaics.

The rest of Dave's story shall remain a mystery for now. To distract you, here's some Latin which, incidentally, is a language Dave is fond of studying.

Fun Fact:

Dave made a Lego mosaic for Jimmy Fallon.
